Guest guest
Namaste' I have had the priviledge of attending two events in the past couple of months at Devi Mandir. I attended the celebration of Krishna's birthday and most recently the Kali Puja on Friday evening. I hope I have the name correctly. I am new to this practice and learning more and more everday. I was introduced to this practice by my beautiful friend Morningsong and would like some advice as a "new born" how to begin my practice, create a sacred altar and commence this practice. I have purchased the Kali Puja book and Chandi Path book. This practice resonates with me and I am feeling even today the experience of Friday evening with a sense of calm, love and presence of God. I would invite any tools of practice, suggestions and love as I embark on this path. Being in the presence of Swamiji and Maa was so moving to me and to see the expression of God eminating from their faces. Gratefully yours.... Guest guest
Namaste Fransesca, Thank you for your beautiful letter!!! A great way to begin practice is to start with Beginner Durga Puja book or Beginner Shiva Puja book. There are also CDs of these two books with Maa and Swamiji chanting the mantras slowly - to help us learn. Enjoy and celebrate God's love!!!!
