Guest guest
Arranging Auguries If crow crows in front of your house, welcome guests will arrive. If the bird -sempOthu - goes around right, it is good augury. If a 'sumangali' comes in front of you it is indeed a good omen. If all these are arranged. No sir, this is all superstition, one may conclude. As per saguna sAsthram, these things occurring naturally are good auguries. Thirumangai AzhAr longing for the arrival of EmperumAn, requests the sempOthu bird to go around. Calls the crow to crow. Expects the lizard to sound in favour of this. Cock to Cock and doodle do. Parrot to call the Almighty. This is 'ThiruthAi sempOthEA ..'Thirumozhi 10-10; Does not AzvAr know that these phenomenon shoud occur naturally and should not be arranged? Does not ParakAla nAyaki comprehend that EmperumAn is svAthanthriyan and is not subject to these.? ' One may say, Azhvar in the light of her separation and agony has forgotten all these things. Then the quesiton comes up. If it is so, how can we say that AzhwAr-s are devoid of such mortal failings-iruL , thyakku, mayakku. Are they not blessed by EmperumAn HImself-mayarvaRa mathi nalam aruLap peTRavargaL. Therefore, is it not a black mark, a degradation for them to be subject to such fallings/failings. KAnchi svAmi aptly quotes from Sri vAchana bhUshaNam. The lack of knowledge or a failing in wordly things is indeed a disgrace. Such illusions in case of EmperumAn's emotions is not disgrace but a great fortune. This illusion emerges not because of kArmic effects but because of His Grace.
