Guest guest
srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha: Alwar Emperumanar Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam Dear Bhagavadas, Sometimes before, I updated this group about the commencement of renovation / re-construction activities happening in Sri emperumanar temple - Alwarthirunagari. Once again, I am taking a great pleasure addressing this group on the progress of this construction work. All the fragile older clay/cement/calcium plastering work done to Raja gopuram was completely removed and the sathapathi (architect) cleaned up all the wooden carvings with compressed cleaning liquid. Now, the entire rajagopuram is set up to "cure" meaning that they are cleaning the entire 52" feet Raja gopuram with pumped water & other cleaning materials. This entire processes are referred as curing and they are doing the cleaning activity every day for another seven more days. I am attaching the recent picture taken by the architect and this pictures will go into temple records for historical archiving purposes. http://www.pbase.com/jeganmr/inbox Thanks to the contributors and all the donors supporting this activity. I will update this group on the progress of this renovation pretty soon. Adeyan Dasan, Jegannathan M Ramanujam
