Trouble with my son, exalted Guru (5:47) in the 12th Retro Shani 22 Oct

Charles,

from early 01 to Mid 04 he was in some mixed to bad company and some emotional churning, must have been there. Mother's health must have suffered too apart from his concentration relationshiops with people at lare misunderstood and misunderstandings r commen inthat 7 1/2 Period.

 

Now since this yr is almost over after Jan 3 07 onwards a shift is visible may try some of the Yoga and spiritual practices well and from career point may choos einternational trade, law etc will have a few yrs of churning again between Aug 4 07 to Sep 16 10 but will overall settle down well in life later so need not wory will be generous, liberal and spiritual and earns well and spends well too.

 

the combination of Jup, Ven+ketu in 12th will make him do some charity work for womens cause in life but women r source of his problems earlier soem relationship [not sister has gone sour]a nd some more in the 07-10 period later will make him better focused on some charity related to womens issues...

[vedic astrology] Trouble with my son, exalted Guru (5:47) in the 12th Retro Shani

 

Dear Respected Members,

 

I am respectfully asking for help.

 

I am having difficulty with my son for the last couple of years. Our

relationship has become strained. We used to have a terrific

relationship, very close. He is also very close to his mother. I am

sure part of it is adolescence and testosterone, but it concerns me

as he is depressed quite a bit. Over the last couple of years he has

been experimenting with marijuana. It is not persistent use as I

drug test him on occasion, but I caught him again recently since the

new school year started a couple months ago. He is very bright, but

has lost interest in school. We had some serious trouble with his

older sister and he feels left out. He says no one understands, etc…

 

He is a very special child. He is mature beyond his age and has

always liked taking about philosophy and so forth. He has been a

strict vegetarian since he was 9 and he is a very peaceful child. He

actually chose to be a vegetarian without prompting, only after we

had discussions about it. I have only recently begun a vegetarian

diet, so it is really his personal commitment that sustained him for

7 years. However, lately he as had issues with a lot of anger.

 

I looked at his chart and I think it shows a lot of promise, if, and

that is if, he chooses to take advantage of it.

 

Leo ascendant with Mercury in the 1st

Shani retrograde in the 5th

Rahu in the 6th

Strong Mars in Aries in the 9th

Moon in the 10th, exalted

Venus in the 12th

Sun in the 12th

Ketu in the 12th

Guru in Cancer the 12th exalted at 5:47!

 

His birth data

 

August 14th 1990, 7:36 DST (+4)

I think all the activity in the 12th provides a lot of promise for a

spiritual life and also the moon in the 10th. He seems to have these

tendencies. I think Saturn retrograde is his main challenge

contributes to the depression and Rahu in the 6th makes me nervous

and I think it influences the manner in which he handles the

depression. His school has been suffering and he says he simply does

not care.

 

His current dasha is Ma/Ve. I am really concerned about his Rahu MD

starting 4/2008.

 

Can anyone give me an idea of where he could be headed? I think I

feel pretty confident as he is very good at the core, but he needs

to get through this tough spot without getting stuck on drugs as a

way out. My concern is that he believes pot is not a big issue and

that when he is 18, he plans to smoke on occasion.

 

One really good thing is that recently he asked if he could start

going to yoga with me. He said he thinks that it would help with his

anger. He went we me a year ago for a couple of months, but was not

very interested at that time and stopped.

 

For a long time he wanted to be a lawyer (strong jupiter), but has

lost interest in college and career. I think this is Saturn® in

the 5th issue. I am not sure how to support him for his future. I

think according to his chart, he has the capacity to do something

along a spiritual path.

 

So in closing, any guidance on where he is headed and also any

guidance on helping me help him make some decisions for career.

raised him since he was 1.5 years old)

Dear Prashant,

 

Thank you for your comments. You have made me feel relieved. I saw

the travel and law when I studied his chart, but I did not see the

women's issues. However, I am very new to this so there is a lot I

do not see.

 

I just hope I can stay strong and compassionate for him.
