Guest guest
Dear Henny, Thanks for your question. We will look forward to seeing your pot! I understand exactly what you mean by having a small space. Sounds like you have a great coconut that wants to be offered so you should use it. If you can't make room for it on the side then one suggestion would be to put a small table or some kind of raised platform in front of your altar and establish your pot on that. Would that work for you? It should not be placed on the floor. I had a similar problem when I established a Kali pot on Friday night. There is a small Kali murti in the back of where I established my pot. After putting the coconut and dressing it up with cloth, maalas and flowers, I could no longer see the Kali in the back since I had established the pot right in front of the Kali murti. I even thought about moving the pot a little to the side but decided not to move it because the mantra says: Be Still in the gross body. Be still in the subtle body. Be still in the causal body." But I really wanted to see Kali's face. So then I would physically shift my body to the side a little in order to see her face. Now I wasn't being still either. Finally, Kali gave me the idea to move Her altar just a little to the side so I could see Her face. This was a perfect solution! Now there were 3 smiling coconuts! Good luck! Let us know what you work out. parvati --- henny_v_i <henny_v_i > wrote: > Namaste Parvati, > > thank you very much for the Kali puja class! > Unfortunately, I missed > the opportunity to perform Kali puja on Friday, but > I am now catching > up on the lessons and preparing to establish my > first pot, which is > very exciting.
