Guest guest
Dear Parvatiji, thank you very much for helping me find a place for the pot. I think that problem can be solved thanks to your suggestions. I am still undecided whether to make a Kali murti and a separate altar for the occasion or add a small platform to the existing altar, or both! Your advice and beautiful story about Shree Maa making God are very inspiring! Please allow me to ask some other questions that have presented themselves: - normally, when I perform Shiva puja, the lingam is the receiver of the cloth, the mala, the powders etc., so that at the end of the puja Lord Shiva is nicely dressed and decorated. As I understand, if I were to include the establishment of a pot in my Shiva Puja, all these items would be used for the pot. Would the lingam then be the recipient of the naivedya offerings, or are these to be offered to the pot as well, which would leave the lingam rather 'underdressed'. If the lingam is to receive the naivedya offerings, can I include cloth and garlands in those as well? - should the bracelets and ornaments be new? Could I use beads from broken necklaces to make ornaments? - would you use a red cloth for Shiva too, or a white one? - in the Kali Puja book, the pranams start on page 247. These are followed on page 254 by blessings. Are these to be recited as well? - I understand we remove the divine energy using the visarjan mudra. >From the book, I understand this is to be done with the mantra 'kshamasya'. Am I correct? And is this the mudra where you cross the hands and turn, so that you end up with your forefingers functioning as a kind of gripper? thank you very much for your time and consideration, with love, Henny , sara swati <parv108 wrote: > > Dear Henny, > > Thanks for your question.
