Guest guest
HH Lokanath Swami Maharaja Health Update Report Dear Maharajas and Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I would like to take this opportunity to update everyone as to the state of Gurumaharaja's health. After 1 week, the bandages and stitches were removed. Everything is o.k. now. Maharaja is doing well. Maharaja has resumed his visits to Vraja Mandal Parikrama. He attended the Govardhana Puja festival in Varshana and gave initiations there the following day. He is again leading kirtans and giving classes. He came for the entire Srila Prabhupada disappearance day program at Krishna Balarama Mandir from 4:10 am onwards. Today he plans to attend the ISKCON India Continental meetings. He is back in action. During the first week, Maharaja went daily to the newly opened Vraja Health care hospital to have his bandages changed and to check to make sure that the healing was going on well. The head doctor at the hospital was eager to daily do the service himself. Usually changing bandages was a job for the nurses, but the doctor wanted to have the opportunity to personally serve Gurumaharaja in this way. The doctor was satisfied with the rate of recovery. By Krishna's mercy, the scrapes, scratches and stitches remained clean, with no signs of infection. After 7 days, the stitches were removed. A couple of days ago, Maharaja visited a specialist in Delhi in order to have a complete checkup, including x-rays. The doctor gave him a clean bill of health, although he suggested that he continue taking extra rest and care for some more time. He suggested Maharaja play the harmonium more so that there will be more movement of the fingers, and Maharaja's recovery will be even faster. Maharaja said, "There was a lot of response from devotees all over the world. I would like to personally thank all of you who wrote to me, called, or prayed on my behalf. Thank you for your sympathy and prayers. By the doctor's care and your prayers, my recovery is almost complete." Visit www.pandharpur.org and visit the galleries for recent photos of Maharaja and the Vraja Mandala Parikrama. Thank you very much. Hare Krishna. Always hoping to remain, Servant of the servant of your servants, Ekalavya das
