Guest guest
Namaste In the book: "Before Becoming ths", Shree Maa said:, "I was born with God's name and I grew up with God's name. My mind was not focused on this world. God gave me that consciousness. God does everything. I was born that way and grew up that way. I can't think about anything that doesn't contain divinity. The interviewer asked: "You can't imagine it being different than that?" Maa continues: "No I can't. But you guys were raised differently. You were molded in a materialistic way. Your parents weren't involved with God, althought they knew a little bit about God. In this culture you feel you have to do everything yourself and you have to be involed in the materialistic world. In India we are taught that spirituality comes first, then we do our work in the world. But we do it for God. This is the difference between East and West. The Western countries are new countries. India is an old country. It is steeped in Godliness. It is God's purpose that the West is the way it is and the East is the way it is. Now you can see that the whole world is uniting. God is making oneness. It is so beautiful. In the future the whole world will be very peaceful." Maa and Swami came to America at Ramakrishna's command. They came to wake us up. They came to demonstrate what a spiritual life looks like. They came to give us pure love, inspiration, and appreciation. Though we were born all over the world, we are still Maa's children. She came back this lifetime to collect us into one family and remind us of our true heritage. We are Her children. But because of Her love for us, She gives us a choice, we can "do our own thing", or work with Her to help make this world a better place. We have that freedom of choice. When we were born, Maa planted a seed in our heart. That seed was love. From the first breath, She watered our hearts daily with love and light. Now, as our hearts open, She tills the soil and pulls the weeds that threathen to choke the young sprout. She breathes life into us, and whispers words of love in our ears, and we turn towards Her, like a baby towards the sound of its Mother's voice. When we get old enough, She gives us mantras to help speed our growth, and teaches us how to use them. To sit up straight, to breath deeply and rymthically, and to sing with all our hearts. Whatever lauguage we use, or how well we sing, or how quickly we tire-She does not care. She know our hearts and thanks us every moment for our efforts. This is the miracle of awakening for all of us. It is happening every moment. And it happens more quickly when we align ourselves with the Divine Light, and with Mother Divine. Consciously avoiding the darkness, and moving towards the light. Isn't that our normal inclination anyway? We run towards Her, and She bends down and with arms held wide open, scoops us into Her arms, and brings us to Her heart. She is our Divine Mother. We place a flower in Her hand, and say:, Jai Maa Please join me this lifetime, as my brothers and sisters, and pray for peace on this Earth, peace in the entire universe, and peace in the heart of every being. Please join me now, and every second. Make this the refrain of our lives. After all, what else is there?
