Guest guest
We invite you to join us in a great learning opportunity - an opportunity to understand ourselves and build a stronger and closer relationship with God! We are excited to offer a new online class for the global community of spiritual seekers on the internet. We will use Kashyapa Sutras from the book Guru and the Goddess written by Swami Satyananda Saraswati as a back drop to discuss a wide range of extremely interesting and timely topics for all of us. We will be chatting about - Why we are here? How do we organize our lives now that we are here? What are practical tools that can bring us peace? What is our dharma? Using tools such as pranayam and puja in our everyday life Cultivating devotion to God and Guru In our chats we will weave together discussions on sanskrit vocabulary, scriptures, practices (e.g., japa, pranayam, puja) and philosophy. Most importantly, we will focus on how all these apply to make our everyday lives one of worship, love and joy! The classes will begin on Saturday, November 4. After 7 weeks on online chats, we will have a retreat in Devi Mandir over Christmas break. In the retreat, we will have additional classes on learning sanskrit and worship and spend time chanting around the sacred fire, singing and dancing! What a glorious way to welcome the New Year - in the sublime environs of Devi Mandir with the divine blessings of Shree Maa and Swamiji! We look forward to your joining us in the joyous celebration of learning and love!
Guest guest
Namaste Sriniji, this is a great opportunity indeed! Although I am unable to come to the retreat, I am looking forward to the online classes! I enjoyed the first series very much and learned a lot. It is also wonderful to have this 'live' connection and be in the company of my brothers and sisters. I feel very much at home with you all. So, thank you and other Devi Mandir sadhus for your seva and I hope to see you soon online, Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji! Guest guest
Namaste Henny and everybody! Thanks Henny for your interest! We all enjoyed the classes very much and are eager to learn and share more! The classes will be held each saturday and sunday - same class repeated twice to suit convenience of everybody -- starting next weekend (Nov 4 and 5). If you are interested in taking part, please send email to info (AT) shreemaa (DOT) org. The retreat will be in Devi Mandir over the Christmas Break - it will consist of classes in sanskrit and other topics/scriptures that may come up as we discuss together during the next seven weeks. Also, we will have a chance to do fire ceremonies and mantras together, sing kirtan and enjoy the blessing of being in Shree Maa and Swamiji's presence. It is a great opportunity - to learn, to love and strengthen our spiritual practices. It is really Maa and Swamiji's grace that makes this all possible! Hope you can email and let us know if you plan to join us in clases and retreat and we can organize everything accordingly! Thank you very much! Jai Maa ramya > > this is a great opportunity indeed! Guest guest
Namaste Kalia and Everybody, Kalia - Thanks so much!! We are still waiting to see the geographical locations of people who will be joining the class - so we can set time/(s) appropriately! i am so happy to be seeing you again every weekend! :-) Everybody - we will be discussing a series of topics that will focus on applying spirituality in our lives using Kashyapa Sutras as a backdrop. The Kashyapa sutras are in the, "Guru and Goddess" book. The retreat is planned to be longer than the one we had at Navaratri time - We were discussing all this with Swamiji and we were all filled with joy thinking -- how wonderful it will be to end the year and usher in the new one just singing and chanting the name of God for days on end!! What a beautiful chance to install God in our hearts and our lives! I pray God will make it possible for many of you to join us - online and in person! Jai Maa! ramya :-)
