Guest guest
Enthused by the interest shown by some Bakthas, I wish to give some more detasils of the Veppancheri Kshethram. Veppanchery is in the Chittoor District of AP. It can be reached from Chittoor, Tirupathy and Chennai. From Chennai it is about 140 KM. It can be reached via Tiruttani, RK Pet, Balija Kandiga and Thungunram. The presiding Deity is Lakshminarayana Perumal. But you have number of other Sannadhis. They are situated around the main Temple. They are: Ashta Lakshmi Temple which is situated in the Southern side of the main Temple. All the eight Lakshmis have individual Sannadhis and all of them face east. The Sudarsana Chakrathalwar, Yoga Narasimhar,Baktha Anjaneyar,Kulathadi Lakshminarayanar,21 feet Mahavishnu, 33 feet Ranganathar, Navagrahas,Nakshathra vanam, Shri Vidya Vinayaka and Shri Ayyappa are the other dieties available for worship. The temple is open from 5.00Am to 9.00Pm. There is a Dasavathara Vanam in the northen side of the temple. It is well maintained. All the above deities except Ashta Lakshmis are located in the Dasavathara Vanam. The sthala Vrisham is Veppam. It is a very ancient temple dating back by 1500 years but got ruined and renovated with the efforts of locals and a Veppanchery born Tirupathy Advocate Shri Sridhar. If sufficient Bakthas are interested though not a professional Tour operator, I am willing to arrange for a trip via Tiruppukuzi, Sholinghur, Veppanchey, Tiruttani, Tiruvellore and Thiruninravur. It will be after rainy season and on a Sunday from 5.30 AM to 10.00PM. Interested persons may mail me:yesargee
