In the book: "Before Becoming This", Shree Maa says in response to

the question: "What if someone prays to you in their heart?"

Shree Maa said: "They will receive a blessing. Everything will come

to them. It doesn't matter what desire someone wants from God. Some

people are praying for money, some for happiness or pleaseure, some

for God Himself. But all those who pray are praying with faith. When

people pray with faith, I am sure they are praying to God and God will

hear."

Maa said: Just the act of prayer creates a blessing.

In response to the guestion:"Is praying to you the same as praying to

God?", She said: "Yes. There is no doubt about that. The love of

Guru is the same as the love of God. Both are free from selfishness.

Any time you pray without selfishness, all that is divine will respond."

In response to the question: "Will you hear what they are saying?"

She said, "Yes, without a doubt".

In response to the question, "It is hard to understand what you just

said with my mind."

Maa said, "It is very difficult to understand from your head.

Therefore, we always say in our country to live in your heart. If you

want to change your life, you can do it very quickly with your heart."

Dear reader, this writer has prayed to Maa many times. She hears and

answers, without a doubt.

One night,11 PM, while I was still living in Iowa, I was alone in my

living room, feeling down and missing Maa tremendously. I had only

met Her several months prior when She stopped in Iowa on tour and woke

me up, and the pain of separation was so great I could not perform any

action. I was listless and very unhappy. My Mother had come for me,

and then left again. How could I live? Nothing was worth while in

the world.

As I sat there, feeling sad, the phone rang. Who could that be, I

thought?

Well, guess who it was?

I answer the phone and Maa says hello. She immediately asks me how I

am doing? I say, "fine".

She asks again and again I say, "fine".

She asks a third time, and this time I have to tell the truth. "I am

miserable".

She knew all along, and called to tell me She loved me.

This is just one instance of Her offering Her love to save me.

Why not ask Her for help?

Jai Maa, Jai Swami
