Lagna is East,that means 2. 7th house is West (opposite of Lagna) 3. 10th house is North 4. 4th house is South. For Gemini asc, if you have jupiter in 7th house (where jupiter is in own house provided no malefics aspecting) it is very auspicious, so the west direction would be the best for this individual. On the other hand if Mercury is placed in Gemini, the east also the best direction.Hope this clarifies.
