Guest guest Posted November 1, 2006 Report Share Posted November 1, 2006 Dear All, As promised to myself, I'm having a quieter day today so that I can return to (list) activity with renewed vigour. We all need to step back from our activities from time to time and this is especially so as we get a little older...quiet time strengthens the spirit as good food strengthens the body...both are essential :-) I've just popped in (briefly) to offer a suggestion. As you've probably noticed there is a 'photo' folder on the group web page which contains photos of some of our long-standing members. I do hope other members will take the opportunity to add their photo as well. As I said to Rajat, in this (impersonal) environment it takes time to get to know one another...too much time perhaps in which misunderstandings can occur. It would help to bridge the gap (for me at least) if I could see the face of those I'm talking to, rather than just a name...and often not even a real name. So, think about it dear members, and, if you're not too shy, I would love to be able to put a face to the name :-)) (half the time I don't even know if I'm talking to a male or female...so, please, let me get to know you a little better) I also encourage learned members to submit their articles for publication on JyotishVidya.com. (subject to approval, of course). This is a selfless way to serve jyotish and help students avoid the many pitfalls they're sure to encounter whilst struggling to grasp the fundamentals of this Divine science.
