Dear Dharma Singh. Very beautiful photo! Could you please tell me more

about it? Why is Yogi Bhajan touching His eyelids? Is it some kind of

relaxation technique? Is Yogi Bhajan transfering some kind of

spiritual energy through the chakra in the Swami's eye area? Thank you

very much. Love, Vel

Sat Nam Vel,

This is a photograph I took of a photo that was on a wall in

Yogiji's house in Anandpur Sahib - http://www.anandpursahib.org/ in

India. I had never seen it in print before. It's a beautiful and

intimate image of two very great men. I never felt a need to read

anything else into the image but since you are asking it does seem to me

as though Swamiji is simply getting something akin to acupuncture. An

adjustment to the third eye, a cranial sacral adjustment, whatever, it's

all energy. We do these things for close friends, and close friends

play. Siblings of Destiny? Twin Sons of different Mothers.

BTW, an hour after recording this image I nearly lost my life (

Kundaliniyoga/message/8901 ) and even

later that day got scratched by a Macaque monkey while trying to avoid

getting bitten. It all felt like the price I had to pay to have this image.

Dharam:

You say "It all felt like the price I had to pay to have this image."

I don't understand, can you explain that?

Did you feel it was forbidden in some way to take this image? Or did you

feel guilty for taking it? Was it some kind of punishment or warning?

Blessings,

Awtar

Sat Nam Awtar Singh,

Good and probing questions. This framed photo was on his living room

wall. I had never seen this photo in print, anywhere, and figured the

only way to get a copy of it was to take a picture OF the picture. I was

somewhat reluctant, though, as the thought occurred to me that maybe

this image is one that a great teacher might not deem appropriate to

have published in a book, or at least, any of the books in circulation,

so far as it has a "casual" feel to it. I had to make a judgment call in

that moment. Yogi Bhajan was 12,000 miles away so I couldn't ask him

personally. I took it on faith that it would be okay (after all, I had

once been counseled by him while he was in his underwear).

One other thing, it felt like the energy of the place with its

history of sacrifice* and my knowledge of Panj Piare fully opened me to

any sense of karma or guilt about my decision, and that to have this

image was a great privilege and worth just about any price.

Yogiji has said, speaking to Sangat, that "none of you could sit

where I sit". He made reference to the amount of electricity running

through him in his role as the Siri Singh Sahib. I couldn't but help

remember these words shortly after my real life experience of 220 volts.

Sat Nam,

Dharam Singh
