Thank you for your patience, too, Prabhu. I think we basically all agree on the same thing. I have to admit that I have no knowledge of soybean oil. I have never used or tasted it. I just inferred that it would be of the same quality with the same properties as the beans it is made from. One thing, I would contend, though, is your quoting Srila Prabhupada as saying that soy beans are nice. There is just no way Prabhupada would say that soy beans are nice if he had had all the information available. As Kurma prabhu pointed out the correct quote was, 'As I understand'. Prabhupada actually didn't say soy beans are nice. In India there is no tradition of soybeans or soy products. They can't even make proper soy sauce.
