I visited him some days before. It was a bit late and Mahamuni Prabhu was there. He was very compssionjate and was reading to Maharaja for 2 hours daily. Gopal Krsna Maharaja came with tow doctors who suggested intervenous drips and soups. Maharaja was strong in rufusing those things. Finally they said warm water and left it. They felt the he was OK the way he was. His skin was very healthy looking and his eyes were bright. Althought he had been lying in bed for many months, there were no bed sores. He reached up and took my hand with a very strong grip for over 10 minutes. On Srila Prabhupada's disappearance day I went again after watching Yadubara Prabhu's newest DVD. Again Mahamuni was there as were two hospice doctors from Mumbai. They had set up a schedule of reading and chanting for him. It was late and we left the room. But somehow he called me back and I stayed about ten minutes. I just chanted along with the recording of srila Prabhupada. At that time his hands were shaking like a typical Prakinson's patient. He rang his buzzer and we left him to rest. The next day just as the Delhi Ratha Yatra was strating we got the call that he had left his body, which is what he very much wanted to do. HH Gopal Krsna Maharaja rushed back to Vrndavan to attend the samadhi ceremony.
