Does anyone have the relevant reference; when Srila Prabhupada said it and to who? Dear Bhakti Vikas Maharaja Please accept my humble obaisences All glories to Srila Prabhupada All glories to Lord Narasimhadeva Actually I have never heard about Srila Prabhupada mention this chant except for when Lord Caitanya visits Simhacalam, at Jiyada Nrsimha CC Madhya 8.5 and as confirmed in the previous verse CC madhya 8.4 , this prayer came from the lotusmouth of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, offering praise to His own form of Lord Nrsimha. When Sri Sri Prahlada Narasimha was installed in Germany in 1982 this mantra became part of the artik and kirtanas, after the Govinda prayers to SrI Sri Radha Madan Mohan a recorded version with senior devotees including Harikesa, Krsna Kstetra Prabhu , I am not sure if other devotees like BhaktiVaibhava Swami was part of this recording , however this prayer was sung along with some of the verses from 108 names of Lord Narasimhadeva "œr•-nr•sim•ha, jaya nr•sim•ha, jaya jaya nr•sim•ha prahl•deœa jaya padm•-mukha-padma-bhr•ñga" ('All glories to Nr•sim•hadeva! All glories to Nr•sim•hadeva, who is the Lord of Prahl•da Mah•r•ja and, like a honeybee, is always engaged in beholding the lotuslike face of the goddess of fortune.') Just in sanskrit like Govinda prayers, I am not sure if they still play it after Harikesa left, And later when Sri Ugra Narasimhadeva was installed in Mayapure this chanting continued, it is surely no speculation in the worship of Lord Narasimhadeva. This prayer is found at the end of 108 names of Lord Narasimhadeva. Also on Harinama in Harikseas former zone we used to sometimes chant it with Narasimha pranati (namaste Narasimhaya) especially when some angry persons where attacking the Harinama due to demoniac mentality. This is surely bonafide to chant in Narasimha worship, but I never heard Srila Prabhupada introduced it.Narasimha worship is specific to ISKCON as we face many asuras in preaching, some persons outside of ISKCON can not understand that, as they don't face the hard reality of the demoniac influences of Kali yuga, unless one does Harinama and bookdistribution in the west one cannot fully appriciate the usefullness of this chant. your servant Payonidhi das
