Guest guest
"Swamiji is an open channel for receiving divine grace. Whoever is fortunate enough to be open to the divine flow will undoubtedly receive it. It remains up to us to direct the gift toward changing our own lives and sharing our love with all the people we meet. While at the Moraga house [1985-1986], Shree Maa, Swamiji and some devotees went on a ten day camping retreat to Panther Meadows at Mount Shasta. We lived there as they had lived in India. We would get up early before dawn, perform group puja before a Wilderness Shiva Puja altar and then have a campfire breakfast. Swamiji sat for the Chandi with the Navarna Mantra (the principle mantra of Chandi) repeated before and after each verse in the method called Samput. After completing the Chandi from the front to the back, he would then chant it from the back to the front with the same weaving of the Navarna Mantra into his recitation. He did this seven times in one asana for twelve hours. I thought to myself, 'How he loves to be one with the Divine Mother in continuous praise of her victorious battle with the ego.'" --page 154-155.
