NAMASTE

Jai Maa

Today I observed how little it takes to make someone happy. A kind

word, a pat on the back, an "thank you" for a small favor. Swami

teaches us that as we perform puja, we learn how to move energy. For

example, from our heart, onto a flower, then onto the lingum as we

worship Shiva on the altar. Then at the end of the day, when we clean

our puja, we take the energy back into our heart.

Just think how many times we move our energy around during the day,

and how many forms carry our energy. For example: talking on the

phone, posting, thinking of someone far away, praying to God for help,

writing a letter and sending it in the mail, making a meal. Each form

is another channel for moving our energy around.

It all depends on how conscious we are. Staying in our hearts, it is

easy to send the energy out. And our heart energy is most pure.

What effect do we wish to have in this world? We have to ask

ourselves each morning when we rise, and review it each evening before

bed. Did we say the right thing? or, Did we jump the gun and blurt

something hurtful?

As we are noticing, the group sankalpa is a very powerful tool in

controlling our energy for the highest good.

Maa ans Swami are teaching us to unite our energy with theirs. To give

up our selfish attachments in order to gain freedom. As Swami said,

we gain freedom thru discipline, not freedom from discipline.

What a wonderful succint teaching. I pray Maa will increase my

sankalpa-my firm determination, to be a disciplined disciple in this

world.

Jai Maa Jai Shiva
