Guest guest
O compasionate Tara, your radiant presence is my esence. O Mother Kundalini, coiled potency arising gradually as consciousness within all beings, you abide in the primal root of awareness, four petals at the base of the spine, and within the thousand-petal lotus that blossom at the crown. The inward Ganga flows through right-hand regions as molten sun, inward river Jumna through left-hand regions as liquid moon. Guest guest
.......... Assuming form as the serpent of self-luminosity at rest in red coils about Lord Shiva, who is the clear light of contemplation, You awaken and manifest, O Mother, on the petals of six ascending lotus centers as the fifty letters of the sacred alphabet. Your dynamic power alone plays through solar plexus, focus of strength and will. Seed sounds of your feminine mystery balance on twelve petals of the lotus heart. Your potent vowels cluster on the sixteen-petal lotus at the throat. Syllables containing your revolutionary wisdom emanate from the two-petal lotus Between the eyebrows. ..... to be cont'd) Mother of the Universe Visions of the Goddess and Tantric Hymns of Enlightenment Lex Hixon
Guest guest
.......... My beloved mentor once whispered in my ear These instructions for meditation: "Visualize your own body as sparkling Goddess energy. Within six spirals of consciousness, the universal form of humanity, dwells every being from the heavenly hierarchy embodying feminine or masculine energy each riding an animal that manifests power or beauty: elephant, bull, ram, lion, peacock, swan, deer. When breath catches in delight and enters momentary suspension, these subtle structures flash before the inner eye and sweet humming music is heard: first the bass note of black bee intoxicated by golden pollen, then waves roaring in the conscious ocean. ..... to be cont'd)
Guest guest
......... Ascend swiftly in awareness through six levels, symbolized by dense earth, flowing water, dancing fire, invisible wind, open space, and all-embracing mind, each one entered with a key of sacred sound. Emerging into her thousand-petal reality, O mediator, become the Goddess consciously. She is your essence, you her expression. Now cast your burning glance of compassion upon all beings in creation You are the primal sound that pervades all phenomena, you the pearl of clear light beyond all worlds. You bear a snow-white skull cap like the half-moon, brimming with the nectar of timeless bliss. You flash the curving sword of non-dual wisdom. No boundary can now remain." ..... to be cont'd)
Guest guest
....... There is only consciousness. Who can create division? Methods of prayer and meditation are numerous, but there need be no concern over this. All sacred ways are simply the free play of Goddess Kali through diverse modes of longing. The soul who awakens as her reality never falls asleep again into waking dreams of conflict and separation. The awakened soul disappears into its source. Can one return into the realm of egocentric desire, captivated by pleasure or bounded by fear, after plunging into boundless space? ..... to be cont'd)
Guest guest
Thats a beautiful poem Kaliananda Saraswati. I don't know why it reminded me of what Buddha had once said to his disciple...before enlightenment, chop wood and fetch water; after enlightenment, chop wood and fetch water. I guess the only difference is that its no more about 'me' the ego and after enlightenment its more about others and spreading the message of God and love. Life continues like before yet everything has changed. Isn't that wonderful? Smilesssssssssssss...... kaliananda_saraswati <kaliananda_saraswati > wrote: ...... There is only consciousness. Guest guest
This part is so beautiful, it deserves to be reposted on its own merits. But I wanted to point out how well it connects to Papia's recent post from the Bhagavad Gita... Guest guest
Kalia, That was really beautiful. I liked that you served it up in nice little bites, the better to savor the intricacies of flavor. I wonder though if you could post it in its entirety, so I can read it all in one piece, too. Do you know who the author is, and is it titled? I think I'd like to save it... Jai Maa!
