It's not that bad for us spiritual types who see the big picture. It's interesting to note that of everyone reading this, you were the only one to express compassion. Thanks for the good wishes and I will take a hug anywhere I can get it, even if it is a virtual hug. Love to you too, Richard
Guest guest
Dearest Richard, The spirit of compassion is equal for all those who need it in the trials and tribulations of living life. It wasn't clear to me from your post that these were ongoing issues as opposed to past experiences. Hope you're doing well. Phil
Guest guest
Thanks to those who expressed well-wishes to me. I seldom talk about my health because one diagnosis was first given 6 years ago and by now I am bored with the topic. Also there is no reason to attempt to perpetuate the sense of an individual reference point. It has given me a different perspective, but as Phil says, this is difficult to convey to others. Personally though, I'd rather have good health than a good perspective. Or like Ramesh B. says, so I've read, "If you have a choice between money and enlightenment, take the money". Guest guest
Well, things can change in an instant, if it is 'God's' will. Please be open to the infinite possibilities. Be well, my friend. Phil In a message dated 11/5/2006 2:11:14 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, richarkar writes: Thanks to those who expressed well-wishes to me. With love, Richard Dear Friends: Please keep in mind that taking someone's creative and intellectual works (poetry, art, articles, essays, posts, etc.) without permission of the authors is a violation of copyright laws. This especially applies to this list, , as it is a private list which can be viewed by members only. Most individuals do allow their artistic and creative work to be posted elsewhere if you request it and use their work in a not-for-profit format for benefit of others. So that is not usually a problem. However, if you are taking content from this list with a profit motive (such as promotion of your site in order to sell products, ads, etc.), it is critical that you seek the explicit and written permission from the authors whose works you are using. Acting in any other way is dishonest. Thank you. _________ Magazine and Website is at community blog is at http://.net/blog/ "Love itself is the actual form of God." Guest guest
Welcome Richard. How did you find your way here? For whatever it is worth Ramesh B. has never impressed me much. Guest guest
To put Ramesh into context, as well as I can remember, he said in effect, 'if you want something, take the million dollars, because with enlightenment there won't be any 'you' to enjoy it' I took it more as a poke to the ego that works really hard to accomplish something only to find out it's not included in the prize. I've read Ramana Maharshi books (and tons of others) for many years so it seems only natural I would end up here. Since I'm posting, I've been wanting to ask you a question. Do you know of any group of like-minded people who meet together in person? I live in southeast Virginia. Regards, Richard
