Guest guest
Devi Bhakta, I only recently discovered that you were the person who painted that arresting depiction of Matangi Devi.I loved it so much that I felt like printing it out on my computer and hanging it up with other photographs and paintings I have really enjoyed. Please keep painting - I would love to see more in the future!

The last time I asked Devi Bhakta the same thing : wanting to put Matangi Devi paintings of his together with the photo gallery, his remarks was : Please dont do that. Leave her as she is, where she is right now.

On my wall by my computer, I have a painting of a young, sweet looking girl child, with long blond hair and a happy expression on her face. Below that are two statues that I painted around the age of 14, one is particularly special to me, a woman with a dragon wrapped around her body. On the wall by my bed, I have an image of a young woman painting a picture, images of a bayou, and several others, but my favorite hangs just below a suncatcher that is shaped, peculiarly, like a Saraswati Yantra - the picture i chose for that particular part is one of Bjork. She is standing against a Sunset in a "Swan dress" - it looks precisely like a swan, with its head draped over her shoulder. I love the way my room is arranged, but I can understand why many would think it's tacky!
Guest guest
The painter is but only a tool being guided by DEVI to protrayed as how SHE wants others to see. What you should do is to focus on the DEVI herself instead of getting caught up with the image. Who the painter is, how he looks like is not important. If you really like her, then come often to her "temple" her in SS [ in Matangi page] and say hi, instead of making her another one of your wall hanging protrait. Maybe its not my business to say this but as ive known DB all this years. He is too nice to say No to you, but deep within he would have agree to what im saying. , "Erotic Ethel" <retroprecursor wrote: > > , "NMadasamy" <nmadasamy@> > wrote: > > > > , "Erotic Ethel" > > <retroprecursor@> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Devi Bhakta, > > > > > > > > > > > I only recently discovered that you were the person who painted > > that arresting depiction of Matangi Devi.I loved it so much that I > > felt like printing it out on my computer and hanging it up with > other > > photographs and paintings I have really enjoyed. Guest guest
Hi Ethel: Thank you for your kind compliments and for taking the time to comment; it's nice to know you enjoyed the picture. Your advce to "keep painting" is well taken and well timed -- I really have been neglecting this sort of work lately. I've been wanting for a long time to see what Bala Tripurasundari might send thru ... ;-) Thanks again DB , "Erotic Ethel" <retroprecursor wrote: > > > Devi Bhakta, > > > > I only recently discovered that you were the person who painted > that arresting depiction of Matangi Devi.I loved it so much that I > felt like printing it out on my computer and hanging it up with other > photographs and paintings I have really enjoyed. > Please keep painting - I would love to see more in the > future! >
