thirucciRRambalam

Meaning:

One Who dances in the white (ash) dais said, "give alms".

(implicit meaning is, "Oh nice teeth lady, give!")

I said, "For the sun".

One Who is beyond the universe said, "food".

(implicitly it means, "oh swan like!")

I said, "Vehicle of brahma".

He said, "Bring here your alms to put!"

(Implicitly means, "Fire your five arrows!")

I said, "kAma of flagged chariot who does not have form".

He said, "My meal is done".

(Implicitly it means, "What you said is correct"

I got the sense to respond also!

Notes:

1. This nice poetic song captures the Lord coming

to the heroine for alms, but talking with pun.

2. paNDaN^gan - On the white dias;

aiyam pey - put alms; ai ambey - fire five arrows.
