Breaching the Shackles

AzhvAr expected the Lord to come to her and relieve her of the suffernings.The Atman's nature is to wait for the EmpeurmAn and be composed.

The Lord being the owner of the Atman will come and take her at the appropriate moment.

 

However, the yearnings for Him grows on unbearably and Ahzvar decides to test the waters by doing the unthinkable.

 

The basic nature of woamn -sthrEthvam - niRavu-that is being composed and wait for Him. This is called as 'aRathodu niTRal' in Tamil parlance.

Thirumangai Mannan decides to break this shackle.

 

This soul-clad shackle is very good for the AtmA. that is why Kaliyan mentions it as

'nalthin-migu' and also adds ignoring this best welfare -proceed on in acts of appeasing EmperumAn

 

Nowithstanding the fact of sthrEtham let us indulge in worshipping Him and perform sthOthram-s
