SATYANARAYANA Tirupati, Nov.7, (TIRUPATITIMES.COM) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams which manages the affairs of the famous hill shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara at Tirumala near here would, in a big way, conduct the celestial marriage of Lord in USA in June or July 2007. Addressing media persons here this evening, TTD Board Chairman, Mr. B.Karunakara Reddy said that during his recent visit to USA a request was placed before him by the Hindus there for conduct of Lord's celestial wedding by the TTD which already started conducting the same in many towns and cities in India occasionally for the benefit of the devotees who are unable to participate in the celestial wedding conducted at the hill temple daily. The replicas of Lord and his divine consorts Sri Lakshmi and Sri Padmavathi made of Panchaloha and other paraphernalia from the hill temple would be airlifted to US for the sacred ceremony to be conducted in an unprecedented way, in one of the cities in the US for the benefit of Hindus, Mr. Reddy said. In reply to a query, the Chairman said that the TTD would conduct the celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara in any country based on the request of Hindus there with comfortable religious atmosphere. The TTD would offer a 7 foot-high black granite deity of Lord Venkateswara to a mega Lord Venkateswara shrine to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 5000 million by Telugu Association at Detroit in the US, Mr. Reddy said adding that TTD would be taking necessary steps to sell important TTD Publications and the devotional audio and video discs connected to the hill temple at all Hindu temples in the US soon. http://www.tirupatitimes.com/ <http://www.tirupatitimes.com/>
