ThiruvaLLuvar mentions that people who forget anything can be forgiven but those who are ungrateful cannot be so.

'ennanRi konRArkum vuivuNDAm,vuivillai sei nanRi koNRa magaRku'

 

AzvAr greatly talked of EmperumAn's Supremacy and Saulabyam but sees that he is alone in such an exercise. The people in the world were approaching other deities.

'This is totally ungrateful attitude of these people. EmperumAn had swallowed these Atman-s and later on spat them out and credied them with physiques. These included not only these people but also the deities they approach. It is indeed unfortunate, that they approach these who are themselves helpless in praLaya kAlam and other such events.They are after all one of such spat out Atman-s -EmperumAn vuNDumizhndha ecchil dhEvar- 11-6-2;

 

What about EmperumAn? He rescued us by safely tucking in His belly when the ghOst like flood tried to swallowed one and all.(vETRip pOAr kadal araiyan thAn vizhungAmal vuyyak koNDa 11-6-3);

universal floods encompassing the milky ways - all except the paramapadham were flooded -'bagiraNdam agappadutha kAlam.11-6-2;

 

Sri Nam Azvar in ThiruvAsiriyam condemns approaching other deities as

'EnROaL irukka maNai nEr ATTi' - Is it right in celebrating a wooden plank instead of mother?

 

In the same tenor, Kaliyan specifically underlines this
