Guest guest
svAmi Desikan's VyAkyAnam for enninRa yOniyumAi Sri NampiLLai in the Tiruviruttam Edu specifies that The Lord takes up several forms and this cannot be restricted to certain parameters. What can these forms be.HUmans or dhEvar-s or what? Well for this the vyAkyAnam of Sri NigamAntha Desikan is very apt. He lists out the forms that EmperumAn takes. dhEva, manushay, thriyak, sthAvarangaL bUdha jAdhigaL nAlum vyUha vyuhAnthram-vibhava-vibhavAnthram and so on. EmperumAn takes up the forms of humans, devAS, animals and plants. The defects of these do not touch Him.He sparkles. His knowledge does not get contracted due to this. the text of commentary goes as follows: en ninRa yOAniyumAi piRandhAi -Tiruviruttham first pAsuram DHeVA, THRIYAK, MANUSHYA, STHaVARANGAl ENGIRA ellA prakArathAlum, pramANA sithaangaLAi ninRa bUdha jAdhigaL nAlilum, avaTROADu sajAdheyalAm ennalAmpadi , SRe janma rahasyathiRpadiyEA ,sathyamAi gnAna sankOch ADhi dhOsha prasanka rahithamAi nithya nirdhOsha sutha sathvamAi, divya mangaLa vihraha pariNAthmAthgamAi, vyUya-vyUhAnthra: vibhava-vibhavAnthra rUPamAyuLLa avathARa vargathAlEA: 'NILAI VARAMBILA PALA PIRAPPAI;THIRUVAIMOZHI 1-3-2 ennum padi piRAndhAi Having seen this how can we conclude that EmperuAn can be restricted to just ten avathAr-s (to be continued) dasan vanamamalai padmanabhan
