Guest guest
I am considering beginning a water fast and I am seeking suggestions for breathing and exercise to keep my energy up during the fast. I won't be able to take time off of work and am worried about how it will affect my preformance, it is a office job but occasionally I do have to make an impression on new clients. I want to start with 10 days.
Guest guest
I have done water fast many times before. But I only did it for 4 days max, sometimes 3 days. By day 4 I am very weak and harldy able to walk. I think 10 days is too long and can be dangerous. I have read 4 days is the max one should do for water fasting. You loose so much weight and I had no fat left on me. If you fast too long on water after your body has used up your fat it turns to proteins, muscle, and then your organs. You do not want the fast to start breaking down on your organs because you could end up with irreversible damage to liver, kidneys, heart or even worse you could end up dead. It is very dangerous to fast too long on just water. You can do water for 2-4 days and then start on juice fasting. Juice fasting you can do for longer. I have done juice fasting for 9 days max. I would like to join you on water fast. I do not know if you have done it before. but I find it is difficult and have terrible headaches, tiredness I do feel good after tho. I usually do not have energy to do strenous exercise. I would recommend doing hatha yoga stretch excercise and breathing. My breath usually becomes shallow and it is hard to breathe so I usually resort to zen style counting in which I count to 10 and then find after a while my breathing gets deeper and from my abdomen. I do not focus on breathing but it just comes about naturally. Please do keep in touch if you do do the fast. It would be encouraging doing it with someone else. I would like to start monday. Please email me back when you like to start. I have read water fast is really good in breaking down toxins and also for inflammation like arthritis. If you get real tired you can put lemon juice in your water. Sat nam Tina Cheap Talk? Check out Messenger's low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
I would recommend to do the melon cleanse or the lemonade diet instead of a water fast, or before you do a water fast. There is lots of info on the internet. Blessings, Awtar
Guest guest
Hi Tina, Namaste! Is this from a prescribed, tried and true, fast recommended by Yogibhajan? Here's why I ask for every "symtom" you list there is a prescribed set or even a prescribed way of working trhough such maladies. And the Hatha yoga stretch may have other compenents that would be helpful- Do you practice kundalini yoga? 9th I have done water fast many times before. Guest guest
Dear Guru Sadhana Seva: "How do this lemonade diet work?" You probably mean how do you do it? I started with a table spoon of organic psyllium the evening before starting and a cup of Smooth Move laxative tea. I did everything organic for 10 days. >From then on you do the following 3 steps every day for 10 days (some people do up to 30 days, but probably not the first time) First thing: 32 oz of warm water with 8 teaspoons of black salt (I spread it out in 4 glasses; I thought I could never drink this much in one sitting, but it was like drinking a broth without the chicken, not bad at all) This saline solution will flush your system (literally), removing toxins and stuff stuck in your intestine you really don't want to keep there. Don't do anything more like colonics or the likes. Second thing: You make 10 to 15 cups of a lemonade where each cup contains: 2 Tbspoon of lemon or lime, 2 Tblspoon of maple syrup (Grade A), 1 cup of water and 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. You drink this lemonade when you want during the day spreading the whole amount over the whole day. The last thing before going to bed is to take a cup of Smooth Move. The maple syrup is to have enough minerals in your diet, the cayenne to remove the mucous from your body. This is probably not for diabetics, or people who have a sugar imbalance or a yeast infection. Although I have heard of people with sugar problems substituting black strap molasses for the syrup. The lime or lemon are highly alkaline and will contribute to healing your body. Your body will start detoxing. Everyday you will go to the bathroom and nothing will be solid. The very first evening I felt so intuitive. It was as though I could see the truth in anyone I choose to think about with much less effort than usually. I choose to do this for a couple of people I wished to help heal. One was a child who has cerebral palsy. When I focused on her, I saw a graceful ballerina. I had to call her mother. I thought if everyone started seeing this child for who she truly is then no one will be holding the vision of her disease and this could help in some way. It turned out she had started to take dance lessons with normal kids but the teacher did not pay much attention to her. So she had stopped. But talking with the mother I raved about my vision of her daughter as a ballerina to inspire her. When I saw this child recently she was taking dance lessons again and loved it. Get out of this cleanse slowly: For a couple of days, I drank smoothlies with yogurt, mango and peaches, a little maple syrup, some almond milk. I wonder if it wasn't too soon for the nut based milk. The third day I had a smoothie as before for breakfast, a vegetarian salad for lunch and then a real dinner (vegetarian). The most difficult for me was that I was missing the taste of food in my mouth. I did not know I had such a habit of wanting to taste foods. But I had so much more time on my hands with no cooking and very little dishes to do. I loved it. Blessings, Awtar
Guest guest
Hi Namastee The water fast comes from Sivananda yoga book. I have read of the water fast in oher books I have on fasting for spiritual breakthough. It speaks of water fasting as a means to reach greater connection with God and for God to more readily answer your prayers. I only knew of the water and juice fast before so only did those. . But now I have heard of the lemonade fast I will probably try that. I do kundalini yoga but only have dvds and not many books to learn of kundalini ex for headache, etc... I do not know of kundalini 9. Would you explain what it is. I am sure there must be kundalini ex and sets for the syptoms of fasting. If you do know of any, I would be grateful if you would let me know which ones. Thankyou Sat Nam Tina primalconnection <cfpp (AT) starnetdial (DOT) net> wrote: Hi Tina, Namaste!
