Guest guest
Sat Nam All, Something I want to share with you. My 6 year old son brought me a drawing on a square piece of wood. It was an abstract design. The board had been divided into quadrants each division contained a design or rune of sorts. In the middle of the square within a square was a equal lateral triangle with a rune inside. "This is for you", he said. I thanked him saying that I liked it very much. He continued, "Good daddy because this is a sacred drawing". "It will help you do better yoga ". At this point my mouth was hanging open and I asked him how so. To which he repiled, it's sacred because in the middle (the triangle) is Jesus and Jesus and yoga are the same thing". I keep the drawing at the foot of my yoga matt. Guest guest
Sat Nam Felixe, Just wanted to acknowledge this BLESSING. Yogiji spoke often of the angles and sacred geometry inherent in this yoga. You also see it in the angularity of the Egyptian hieroglyphs, many of which are yogic postures (the Kemetic tradition). When we were kids we were all "smarter". That's right! Our pituitary and pineal glands were much more active and our minds open to the intuitive. But we got talked out of that perspective by our dense societies and dense educational systems. One of my favorite quotes is by Robert Oppenheimer (The Manhattan Project). He said "There are children playing on the streets who can solve some of my greatest physics problems simply because they have capacities that I have long since lost". In our yogic practice we are revisiting/reactivating the glandular system of our youth and hopefully integrating it into our adult lives. Kundalini Yoga is particularly effective in accomplishing this. Check out the new artwork at the homepage for our group Kundaliniyoga/ More Power than we Know!
