Guest guest
It is with a grieving heart that I share that my nephew left for Iraq today. I have a somewhat interesting story on this, however. Amma certainly calls us! While I was prasad timer this past summer, (an interesting experience in itself but more on this another time!), a laminated wallet sized photgraph fell at my feet. Puzzled, I picked it up as I did not see it drop. I tried to find out who it belonged to as there was a line of people in front of me. Despite my asking, it didn't seem to belong to anyone. So I kept the photo and tucked it into my purse later. I have had it for some time and felt like I was supposed to do something with it. A few days before my nephew was leaving for Iraq, I remembered carrying this photo around but remembered I was supposed to "do" something with it. I immediately thought of my nephew and realized that this was the purpose of the photograph of Amma. When we had his going away party, I took it to him to keep in his wallet to keep him safe while in Iraq. He looked at it and asked about Amma. He wanted to know if she was still living. So I told him all about her. He put the picture in his wallet and said he would keep it with him at all times. So Amma works in ways that are not always clear but she definitely makes sure that everyone who is to hear her, does. Perhaps he will go see her when he returns. My girlfriend who lost her daughter last year, just saw Amma's photo on my walls and called me on the phone one day. She said she had to go see Amma. After we were back, she called me about 2 weeks later and said all she thinks about is Amma. Amma in the tub, Amma while reading a book, Amma while eating....Amma Amma Amma....don't we know how this is?! Another lady, a mother of one of my students, who is disabled due to a drunk driver, came to a Pampered Chef show at my house. She, too, saw Amma's picture and said she was very interested in knowing more about her. She asked "Who is she?" Then she talked about how our lives have some greater purpose! just after looking at Amma's photo! There are so many ways She is always..around! in Her divine grace, adriane
