Hundreds of them took turns to pull the rath, singing hymns in the praise of the lord. The Yatra was flagged off late in the afternoon by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. The devotees of Lord Krishna danced with happiness at the yatra, and distributed prashad along the way. The Yatra is organised every year by the followers of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Followers of the society converged to the city for the yatra. All along the yatra, they surrounded the rath, and sang and danced along. Hundreds of city residents joined the yatra too. Traffic police was deployed along the route much before the yatra started. To the relief of the commuters, the yatra was well managed. The roads were blocked from the route from where the rally was passing. Langar was organised for the devotees at Maharaja Regency, which included a wide array of dishes, and five kinds of desserts for those with a sweet tooth.
