Guest guest
Namaste These verses embody the code of conduct I try to live by every day. I do not know Sanskrit. I do not know how to chant. I do not know anything else but the truth contained in these verses. I pray to Maa and Swami to fullfill these truths for me. >From the Guru Gita: Verse 28: " With your actions, thoughts, and words eternally please the Guru. Offer respect to the Guru without shame, modesty, or hesitation. #29: Offer your body, senses, life itself, to the true teachers. With your bursting soul open your heart and offer everything to the true teachers. #30: Oh Giver of Boons, do not be attached to this body in which reside worms, foul smelling feces and urine, and phlegm, blood, and meat covered by skin, which will ultimately become scattered ashes. #31: He is the cause of climbing above in the tree of the world of objects and relationships and rescues us from falling into the ocean of hell or the sea of conflict and confusion. Therfore we bow down to the respected Guru. #32 The Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Visnu, the Guru is the Lord Mahesvara. The guru is actually the Supreme Divinity, and therefore, we bow down to the respected Guru. Look into the face of your Guru, and you are looking into the face of God. This is the simple truth of these verses. How many births have we been given and what karma have we performed to get the chance to serve God in the flesh? With all this Grace, we have to give ourselves to the Guru. There is nothing else to do. If you have the chance to serve God, to chop wood, clean the floor, paint their home, then what else needs to be done? Guest guest
Thank you, This is so true. Doing puja yesterday I had just recieved my Shree Maa The Guru and the Goddess book & had it standing so I cld see Her picture. At glances I cld see her face shifting somehow as if the picture was alive and when done with puja and lessoning to her CD Shiva in My heart I was so filled with joy I cld only cry at her site. Bowing down to Shree Maa & praying filled me with a craving to be with her to kiss her feet to serve her in anyway I can. 24/7. When I told her this I cried again and only felt stronger in my resolve to be with her. You are so right. How can you not want to be with her always. She is with us always! No matter where we are. Thank you Shree Maa, Thank You GOD. Debi inspectionconnection108 <inspectionconnection108 > wrote: Namaste These verses embody the code of conduct I try to live by every day. I do not know Sanskrit. Guest guest
Vish, Since the tsunami in East Asia this has become one of my favorite verses. The television images of that inexorable mass of moving water carrying everything with it, from people and animals, to trees and homes, dark and roiling, and deadly, have left an indelible mark on my mind. That image is "the ocean of hell or the sea of conflict and confusion" in this verse, to me. >#31: He is the cause of climbing above in the tree of the world of > objects and relationships and rescues us from falling into the ocean > of hell or the sea of conflict and confusion. Guest guest
Yes, It's like she is speaking to your heart through those eyes. Another help questions. Sorry to bother you so. I'm trying to finish the Guru GIta class(1st one) Can't get it to load past the explanation of verse 9. Then when went to look at second class it keeps bringing up parcial load of first class. HELP! If you can. Won't to get this, it's so good. Thanks Debi Chris Kirner <chriskirner1956 > wrote: Debi, I keep this book out where I can see her most of the time. Guest guest
I don't know, Debi. I just tried to open it and the page was really slow; couldn't get anywhere... It could be there's just a lot of traffic today, or it may be because I'm in the middle of uploading a large file. I'll try again later and see what happens. I think your question on vs.9 will prob. go to Swamiji. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Hi Debbi, I tried again, and the first class loaded fine for me, but the second one wouldn't. It's possible they're having problems...I'd suggest trying again tomorrow. Jai Maa!
