In the past year my employer has slowly been taking away benefits from

their employees. Most recently there is discussion regarding our

pension plan. I am trying very hard not to permit negative thoughts to

enter into my mind. I have been a loyal employee for 13 years and

considering changing occupations. I want to ensure that my days are

filled with love and embraced by the Divine Mother. Any words of advice?

Corporations and other businesses, though employing people; are

mechanical entities that exist to serve their own aims - usually

related to avarice. They take from the Goddess Earth without gratitude

or thankfulness. Don't look to them as behavior-models. Don't expect

too much from them in the way of freebies. If they are forced by

societies laws to offer their people benes; it doesn't follow that they

are doing some great Good. If you feel you need a change because of

unpleasant work environments; don't get in to a guilt-trip over leaving

your business. They won't have qualms about cutting you out if it

serves their interests to do so.

The human community is rift with change. In such times tatters and

tears rip away at the social fabric, yet we should take care so as to

not lose our own hunmanity. Changes coming upon us may neccesitate

alterations in our approach to the workplace. In this religious

devotion can mend us.

Namaste Frances:

I hear you saying that you are torn between staying with the same company, and branching out to do something different. How do you think you could fulfill the wish that your days are filled with love? Would it be a different career? Would it be the same career, but more time off to practice meditation? Maybe you are concerned about your work ethic, but you also want to develop yourself?

Once we really get into meditating sometimes we have an insight into our situation that we would never have had.

Blessings,

Shankari Kali
