Guest guest
One should first be a married person in grahatashramam and be prepared to worship his spouse as Devi herself. Kaula and uttarakaula tantras are not for weak minded and passionate persons. One should practice srividhya for a good time before entering this sort of worship. Guest guest
Hi I did not get the meaning of weak minded here. Does it mean lack of determination or something else? Also by passionate do you mean sensual ? Guest guest
Where is it said that Kaula diksha is limited to any ashrama, or any special form of devi? Srividya upasana is part of sri kula kaula, but there is also kali kula Kaula, and what about trika kaula which is shaiva or the siddha mata, the Yogini Kaula which is centered around the 8 Matrikas and the bharava and yoginis, diksha in these tradition which are all kaula do not require srividya practice. Nor have i ever heard that it is a rule to be not passionate, maybe you mean loosing self control? and what you mean by "weak minded", i also do not understand, do you mean easily distracted by confused thoughts? , sangar narayanan <mackro1932 wrote: > > One should first be a married person in grahatashramam and be prepared to worship his spouse as Devi herself. Guest guest
Namaste, Kaulachara is a higher part of Shrividya, yes, but it exists in other Shakta and Shaiva traditions as well. Before initiation into Kaula one has to have an experience of samayachara in this or that way, be it Shrividya or Shaiva-siddhanta etc. Regarding being passionate, very dubious expression indeed. One has to be fully aware, but not deviod of passion as such. na virAgAt paraM pApam ... Guest guest
Weak mindedness means, having absolute self control on though, deed and action and having before one the absolute goal of mergence with the ultimate energy. This is what I understand SS sumantkb <sumantkb > Tuesday, November 21, 2006 2:07:14 PM Re: Kaula Tantra Initiation Hi I did not get the meaning of weak minded here. There is per se no need at all to follow more than one sampradaya or guru. Each sampradaya is complete in itself for a Kaula it is sufficent to be a Kaula, for a Shaiva Siddhanta it is sufficent to follow his path. Why practice Samayachara first? Samayachara is only one variety of srividya and is complete in itself. There is no tradition called samayachara in Shaiva siddhanta i am aware of.
