Guest guest
Namaste Andrew, they are highly likely to be strands of fibre and nothing to worry about. With time, they will disappear. Rudraksh sometimes can appear darker when we first receive them due to puja powders and other materials used during the blessing process. After washing, the beads thus become lighter in shade (their original shade). When the beads are oiled, the fibres wouldn't be too noticeable.
