Small fibre like strands on a Rudraksha.

Namaste Andrew, they are highly likely to be strands of fibre and

nothing to worry about. With time, they will disappear. Rudraksh

sometimes can appear darker when we first receive them due to puja

powders and other materials used during the blessing process. After

washing, the beads thus become lighter in shade (their original

shade). When the beads are oiled, the fibres wouldn't be too

noticeable.
