Guest guest
Namaste 1. The Sanskrit word is KARMA ( the first of the KA-varga varna). 2. I don't have any knowledge of the word like KHARMA ( with the first letter as KHA - the second of the KA-varga.). 3. In south Indian languages, especially Telugu/Kannada, the extra stress on the KA sounds like 'KHA'. 4. The word 'KARMA' has all the meanings listed in the mail. 5. The technical philosophic meaning ' Law of Divine cause and action / Duty ( as in Karma yoga) / Ritual ( like karma karishye in the sankalpa) ' is not necessarily having much overlap with the popular meaning 'Fate / badluck'. Each discipline and context brings in specific shades of the 'Karma' like brahma-karma, pitru -karma etc;.
