Guest guest Posted November 5, 2006 Report Share Posted November 5, 2006 A question for learned shastris here - It is generally believed that all events are predestined however I have two issues to resolve and would be grateful if anyone can allay my doubts - 1) People talk about black magic.If everything is predestined then how can any individual affect us negatively. After all any negative event takes place because of our astrological combinations and not because of anyone's negative intentions ? 2) We are suggested certain 'solutions' to our problems by astrologers, again if everything is predestined then how can this medicines or solutions influence the outcome ? For example there are many healing systems like Reiki, Pranic Healing which focus on cleaning auras to solve problems. If our life situation is based on our past life karmas then how can these healing take place ? Also is the concept of Adridha karma applicable to both positive as well as negative events in our life ? e.g a negative event might not be destined to happen but took place because of 'Adridha karma' which might have been added in this birth.. This birth's karmas that modify the potential of a horoscope are called Kriyaman karmas. Adhridhamula karma refer to last birth karmas that occurred unintentionally.
