Guest guest
Thanks Manjunath I tried to find the site someone on the list once posted a link for which told of all idiosyncrasies with US DST. I only have Doris Doane and a Carter book for time changes in Europe, and so have little experience of US changes and rules guiding these. So if I stick to a straight no DST adjustment for 17:40 I also get a very cuspal asc as you do. Can I be very cheeky and ask for the charadasa for Rumsfeld so I can look at how the gnatikaraka worked at this 'downfall' Please......................would be very appreciative if anyone would take the time to post it as PL haven't yet got back to me and it would take ages to do it manually, or is Jaganatha reliable and faithful to Mr Rao's calcs? - M Sharma Friday, November 10, 2006 8:40 PM Fwd: Rumsfled data question (to Margaret) Margaret Rumsfeld data as clarified by Astrodatabank lady -Pat FYI ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Pat <pat (AT) astrodatabank (DOT) com> Sep 13, 2006 11:45 AM RE: Rumsfled data question M Sharma <nakshatras > His birth certificate gives his time as 5:40 PM and we presume that it is CST (Central Standard Time), even though daylight was in effect at the time. Guest guest
If I understand the email that Manjunath Sharma forwarded from Pat Taglilatelo at astrodatabank (see below), it suggests that they issue AA birth times that are not corrected for local law anomalies, such as the law regarding pre 1959 birth times in Chicago. If this is correct, this could mean that the astrology community has unwittingly been using incorrect birth times from astrodatabank in some cases. How many other such laws existed in other states and counties and at what times? This is potentially a serious problem for the credibility of astrodatabank and astrology and it needs to be clarified by astrodatabank.
