Dear Wendy,

I was very busy for the last 10 days or so and hence could not

respond to some of the mails.

I would like to thank you for taking time to look at my chart

and giving your valuable reading. You were right, I was on

campuse during my post-graduation!

As you have suggested, let me pick two events (similar ones) and

see if I have understood your way of analysis:

1. Birth of first daughter: 15-Jul-1985

Dasha JU-SA-RA:

JU - is the karaka and 5th lord. He is in the 3rd house, in the

nakshatra of Rahu who occupies the 2nd house of family.

SA - is in the 4th house of happiness. Saturn transits natal JU

and aspects 5th house on that date

RA - occupies the 2nd house of family, in the nakshatra of

yogakaraka Mars. Transit Rahu aspects both natal JU and the 5th

house

This seems to make sense from analysis angle. However, if one

had to predict the time of first child birth much before the

birth itself, how would you go about narrowing down onto

JU-SA-RA period?

2. Birth of 2nd daughter: 11-Jan-1990

Dasha: JU-VE-MO

JU - same logic as before.

VE - is conjunct with 2nd lord Mercury. However, I don't see any

relationship of transit Venus with either JU or the 5th house

MO - I don't see a direct relationship with either JU or the 5th

house or the 2nd house (except a long-shot that the dispositor

of Moon, Ve is conjunct with the 2nd lord). Again, I don't see a

direct link between transit MO with either JU or the 5th.

I don't know if I am looking for the right things. Can you

please help me here?

After going through some of the old mails, I understand that

your were not keeping well a few days back. Hope you are back on

track now.

Regards,

Krishna

Just noticed that in addition, SA is in the nakshatra of 2nd

lord Mercury.

Dear Krishna,

//I don't know if I am looking for the right things. Can you please help me

here?//

Certainly, just bear with me for the next couple of days as I have a lot to

do here at home, appointments to keep etc.. But will get back to you as soon

as possible.

//After going through some of the old mails, I understand that

your were not keeping well a few days back. Hope you are back on

track now.//

Difficult transit :-(

But, not to worry, we'll take it as it comes...one day at a time.

I received my Rudraksha trinity pendant (for Ketu) on Monday

(amavasya...good for remedies?). One thing I have noticed is more mental

clarity which certainly helps with my tendency towards procrastination when

it comes to daily chores. Of course this is only the 3rd day wearing it so

it's early days yet...we'll see how it goes :-)

I will get back to your questions as soon as I can Krishna...may not be

today though.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Dear Krishna,

//As you have suggested, let me pick two events (similar ones) and

see if I have understood your way of analysis://

First, I must say, this is not MY WAY of analysis...rather, the traditional

method of confirming correct T.O.B. Few go to so much trouble, of course,

unless there's some serious doubt of the time.

//1. Birth of first daughter: 15-Jul-1985

Dasha JU-SA-RA:

JU - is the karaka and 5th lord. He is in the 3rd house, in the

nakshatra of Rahu who occupies the 2nd house of family.//

If I'm not mistaken, natal Jupiter occupies nakshatra of YogaKaraka Mars. At

the time, transit Mars, in nakshatra of Jupiter, was aspecting 2nd (family),

5th (children) and karaka for children (Jupiter). Note Mars conjunct

Dasa/Bhukti lords (JU,SA) in D7...Mars in Own Sign.

//SA - is in the 4th house of happiness. Saturn transits natal JU

and aspects 5th house on that date//

Correct, and, along with Ketu, transit Saturn occupies nakshatra of Jupiter.

Again we see the role of Mars (dispositor of Saturn) here...

//RA - occupies the 2nd house of family, in the nakshatra of

yogakaraka Mars. Transit Rahu aspects both natal JU and the 5th

house//

P/D lord Rahu too occupies nakshatra of Mars.

//This seems to make sense from analysis angle. However, if one

had to predict the time of first child birth much before the

birth itself, how would you go about narrowing down onto

JU-SA-RA period?//

We know the significance of nakshatra lords, and, knowing that the birth was

approaching, a glance at D7 might alert us to watch the current transits

i.e.,

1) the transit of Mars as it entered Jupiter's nakshatra, and

2) the transit of Moon (Jupiter's nakshatra lord) into Mars.

Remember the principle that 'Sun is the initiator (of an event) and Moon the

fructifier... Sun points to the month, Moon points to the day.

I'll take a look at the birth of your 2nd daughter a little later...need to

ease back into the list gently after some days away :-(

PS: For those that might be curious, I had a lot of work that needed to be

done in the garden in readiness for a new reticulation system (which was

installed Monday). I knew I couldn't manage it myself so I engaged a

gardener to do the hard work for me. Unfortunately he let me down and I

couldn't get anyone else on such short notice. I was left with no option but

to do it myself. It took me four days to do what the gardener probably could

have done in a day and a half. I kept an eye on the list and, although the

desire to respond to mails was there, I was so tired at the end of the day

it took all the energy I could muster just to make a cup of tea :-(

Anyway, all's well that ends well. It got done and everything was ready for

the reticulation people (just in the nick of time) and now I don't have to

worry about watering the garden anymore. It comes on automatically (and

switches off automatically) on the designated watering days...we have water

restrictions here and can only water two days a week. Many times I was too

tired to do it and was sick and tired of watching my plants shrivel up and

die from lack of water...now that's one less chore I have to worry about,

thank God :-)

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Hope you are back on

track now.

Krishna

Dear Wendy,

Thank you very much for looking into my case in spite of your

hectic schedule. This clearly demonstrates your commitmet to the

list and the desire to share your knowledge with the members.

I have some quetions on what you have said in your mail:

//First, I must say, this is not MY WAY of analysis...rather,

the traditional method of confirming correct T.O.B. Few go to so

much trouble, of course, unless there's some serious doubt of

the time.//

I only picked two events from my big list. And, I picked two

similar events as to see if a similar methodology could be

applied in both cases. I didn't quite get what you wanted to say

here or why you said this.

//If I'm not mistaken, natal Jupiter occupies nakshatra of

YogaKaraka Mars.//

I use JHora and that gives Swati (pada 1) as Jupiter's nakshatra

and consequently the lord is Rahu. Are you getting Chitra

nakshatra by any chance?

//At the time, transit Mars, in nakshatra of Jupiter, was

aspecting 2nd (family), 5th (children) and karaka for children

(Jupiter). Note Mars conjunct Dasa/Bhukti lords (JU,SA) in

D7...Mars in Own Sign.//

You are right that tranist Mars was aspecting transit jupiter,

the 5th house and the 2nd house. However, I don't see Mars

conjunct with JU,SA in D7! I am not sure which chart you are

referring to here. Neither the natal chart nor the transit chart

shows such a conjunction in D7.

Looking forward to your clarifications.

As your garden problem is fixed, I hope you will have more time

for us :-)

Regards,

Krishna

D7 is the Saptamsha. Using PL, I get Sagittarius rising with JU, MA, SA

conjunct in Scorpio. Are we using the same time and ayanamsha? The time I

have is 06:15 and ayanamsha is Lahiri...
