Guest guest
Namaste We live, we breath, we talk, we feel, we desire to perform japa, because kundalini flows thru us. From the root chakra to the crown chakra at the top of the head, and back down again, it flows always. Kundalini is always alive in our body, as long as we are alive. It is the Divine Energy of Mother Shakti in our bodies. If we desire to manifest a greater value of it, there are many forms of worship which we can perform. Japa, repeating a name of God, it one method we can use. There are many more. Puja, homa, seva to the Master, living a spiritual life, taking care of our loved one: these are all techniques which Maa and Swami have taught us to bring us into harmony with God. To allow us to realize our Divine nature. As Maa and Swami say, as the scriptures say: think of God, repeat God's name, perform all actions to glorify and uplift God's creation. In every way, at every moment, try to make your life spiritual. This enlivens the kundalini and brings us closer to God. Perform japa whenever you can, there are no limits. Just pay attention to your actions. I have taken a walk while performing japa, or rode in a car, or on an airplane, or waiting on a bench for a friend. Or, sitting straight and still in front of my altar, I perform japa. Starting with eyes open, speaking God's name aloud, after some minutes, my eyes close, and I speak the mantra more softly, and drift into quiet communion. I hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions, please post them. Also, there are many wonderful traditional Hindu spiritual texts which Swami has translated. They available for purchase on-line at www.shreemaa.org, and Swami teaches class every evening at 6:30 pm Pacific time, Monday thru Friday, and every Sunday about 9:30AM, we all chant the Chandi together with Maa and Swami in the Devi Mandir. It is broadcast live. On the web site are many wonderful discources which can be played.
