Guest guest
It is really a shame for the entire Vaishnava community. I know there are lot of Vaishnavaites who are in top position who can do something to stop this. I dont know what really stops them from taking action in this. Guest guest
Dear bHAghavatHAs Let us think little objectively here. The present day politics is one that based on numbers. When the present generation of Tamilnadu politician's time is passed, no one would remember this EVR. Is any one remembering Gandhiji and Nehru? They are kept in the mind only during election by Congress for its existance. When EVR was existing, he instigated people to cut the tuft of persons of particular sect. So what was done that time? That time passed. Then at one point he seems to have told, if you see one sect of people and snake, first beat that sect of persons. So all said and done, adiyen's Grand father's younger brother stayed in one of EVR's buildings for rent in Kovai. When he asked one time why he is not keeping any other sect of people in his own buildings while practising hatred for that sect, he seems to have commented that that sect of people will only give rent. So this is purely politics. After all sage Kapila (atheist) was also accepted by our ancestors as part of heritage. As soon as EVR has left this world in next 20 years, his followers joined hands with one who started food schemes in Temples. So please do not take any thing personal. Swami Pillilokacharya was taking action from Murkas who were jealous of material gains and had a well defined sanction for intolarance and destruction of other religions. Whereas here too it is for material gain but the quality is different. There may be many ways to bell this cat. The best way is to leave as such and continue doing our kaimkaryam to Emberuman properly to the fullest level. If those who are associated to the temple become pure, that will by itself change the attitude of all others toward that temple. Every priest should be fire in following AcHAra anusHtAnams. If our priest see service to Emberuman as atmost important, than entertaining any favaritism based on any favours which is an internal cancer and a serious one all others will be gone in a matter of time. This EVR stuff is only external wound that can heal as time passes, take it from me some one will break this statue and there will be violence for some time then every thing will change. But the bottom line is those who are in the service to EmberumAn should be fire in thier observance of oath. There are many other thing that others have to do but it has to start from priests. Guest guest
Dear All, I do not know if I can do something about this, but I actually do not see any insult to perumAl. I rather feel that it is an insult to EVR, who was supposed to be an aethist, and is a shame for him and for those who are placing his statue in front of perumAl kOvil that will mean that he is bowing before the lord. Atleast after death, he is given a chance to be at the feet of the lord. Why do we need to worry? adiyEn, dAsan. ramanuja, suresh iyengar <kp_suresh512 wrote: > > Dear bHAghavatHAs > > Let us think little objectively here. Guest guest
Dear Suresh Swamin, I totally agree that the so called hard core dravidians are not existing in Tamilnadu, as there is no harassment of brahmins visiting outside with Thiruman or other corresponding marks and with Sikhai. But at the same time it does not mean, the statue of EVR can be kept in Srirangam. Talking about the discipline of kainkaryaparas is different context and has no relevance with this subject. Can we tolerate keeping bar any other thing of this sort near the temple. Definitely all Srivaishnavas should raise to this occasion and do whatever support we can offer to the local Srirangam SriVaishnavites who are in this process. adiyen SriVaishnava Dasan Sampathkumar ramanuja, suresh iyengar <kp_suresh512 wrote: > > Dear bHAghavatHAs > > Let us think little objectively here.
