Guest guest
Dear Sri Venkatesh, I totally disagree with the fact that all Srirangam Srivaishnavas are for this. I have been talking to people in Srirangam on this to get to know about their view on this. Most of the people to whom I spoke have been of the view that this statue should not be kept near Temple premises. Rest of the people didn't know what to do on this and none of the people is willing to keep this statue. Definitely with the public support and with the unconditional grace of SriNamperumal, if we can make an attempt by organizing for a rally and bring it to the notice of the Government officials , we can be able to postpone this for some time and in the due course we can find the permanent solution for this. All SriVaishnavas should visit Srirangam for this Rally, as we have done this before for some other occasion. But the main point is, some body from Srirangam having a local stand should be able to guide this movement. I pray to Sri Namperumal to show that person, before things are going out of our control. adiyen SriVaishnava Dasan Sampathkumar ramanuja, Thirumalai Vinjamoor Venkatesh <vinjamoor_venkatesh wrote: > > srImathE rAmAnujAya namaha > srImadh varavara munayE namaha > > Dear SriVaishnavas, > > After sending this mail, adiyEn spoke to SrivaishnavaSri Krishnmachariar swamy about this and what he said was totally disheartening. > He said that legally nothing can be done as all their papers are intact. Only morally with public support we can even try to do something. But the pity is none of the Srirangam Srivaishnavas are ready to oppose this only a very few insignificant number are ready to support this. Why? This is the same perumAL our great Sri Pillai Lokacharyar and Sri Desikar gave their lives to save. And can't we arrange even for a demonstration against it? While the silver-lining is that some Hindu groups are planning some demonstration to stop this. But is it not our duty to join them atleast? This is where our unity needs to come out irrespective of Srivaishnava or Smartha or whichever sect of Hinduism we belong to. > > What are our madAdhitpathIs and other organisations doing on this?. Why can't we object to this on the same grounds of being an immoral act, like this government decided for the Da Vinci Code movie screening. Well, it is a known fact that this unscrupulous government is inclined only for minority appeasement and Brahmin Bashing, but Sri Ranganathar is not only for the Brahmins. He is for the whole community. > > Why are we silent on this?. Why cant we move people to stage a demonstration? If need be, why can't we get a "Thirumala" status for Srirangam in Tamizh Nadu. (I agree that it may take some time) That all those areas under the Srirangam municipality is supposed to be the property of Arangan. > > This, I now believe, is the most important kainkaryam than any other thing. > > Please think.
