Guest guest
Something that I keep seeing in many of the writings here is seperateness, and I don't mean opinions. One important thing that I have learnt since discovering hinduism is that there is NO seperateness. I know that in ANY religion thinking or proclaiming any thought, creature, structure, being, or particle as seperate from the One True will cause that being to be "lost." Had it not be for the fact that the first thing I learnt about hinduism was about oneness I do not believe that it would ever have meant anything at all to me. For anyone truly on the path to God they most know about and remember this oneness, this NON-seperateness. Religions do not matter. Anyone who is truly seeking God will find Him. I am focused on the oneness of God, and there I am; it does not matter what book I read from, where I live, or what I eat. Something that I have recently learnt to do is forgive christianity. I have learnt that there are christians who truly see God and because of love and devotion they were able to see past the false lines of division. There are murtis of the apostle Thomas in India. I do not think there would be murtis if he was not an enlightened man and did not bring the same message that all creation knows but must be reminded of. I think what is wrong with most "religious" people is that they worship a book, words, rituals, and other frivelous things. "I am right because everything I read this book it says the same thing and has always said the same thing...etc." I see this with hindus, christians, and muslims; and you know what? Until everyone actually starts doing what they're told to do in those books, which is the same thing in every book, things will continue to degrade. The first rule is to love God. The second rule is to love everything/one else. If there are any objections to these two rules, then one must become more open, become more focused on God. The core philosophy of hinduism is truely the One-ness of all the unvierse. Vedanta is nothing but oneness and Tantra which is lost was more logical on proving the one-ness of all living and non-living beings and God Religions may not directly be taking us to this oneness, but they are dragging us towards spirituality, which works on this non-separate ideal. thanks baba
