Guest guest
jai ma from Dearborn, Michigan, USA, in between the morning and evening programs, as I catch up on my e-mail, etc. from the Henry Ford Centennial library, on Michigan Ave.. only minutes from Amma's Hyatt hug-fest! yes, I am getting in my "educational visit" (a Keval tradition since 1998!) at a local library! good to see supriti, kenna -- maybe for the last time in a long time unless in the unlikely event i decide to go to amritapuri!.. and all of the other satsang buddies I only see twice a year among the mosh pit of devotees. last night's darshan was also my amma doll's 5th "birthday" (or the anniversary of when I adopted the doll, or she adopted me, in Ann Arbor in 2001).. I wanted to get her a Krishna bhava outfit, but didn't find a medium-size one in a colour I liked..so I got her a Sudhamani bhava outfit..which looks real kewl on her.. when I went up for darshan I said it's my doll's 5th birthday .. even said it in Malayalam ("anchu varsh")..Amma handed me apple, as well as the usual hershey kiss and petals.. still havent eaten the apple.. waiting until i get home and can put it on my altar/peedam. it's very warm here for almost december.. in the 60sF (been using Celsius temps in Canada for so long, along with gas in litres and distances in kms, i've almost forgotten about the fahrenheit equivalents!) sure doesn't feel like it's less than a month before Christmas.. which is a good thing, since I detest the commercialized greed and tinselized schlock that always manifests in the days leading up to 12/25.. I try my best to ignore the ho-ho-ho-ing and just let the goyim have their holiday.. but if I hear "jingle Bell rock" or Brenda Lee's "rocking around the Christmas Tree" on the radio, I reach for my gun!
