Guest guest
Kate, There is a lot involved but to put it simply, sweet tastes are best. This includes most foods. Pungent foods are to be avoided. Dr. Vasant Lad has a book that includes many recipes for people with different doshas. Most are kitcheree recipes. Below is a breakdown of the tastes and how they affect the doshas. This would include eating moderate amounts of oils. It would be best not to eat dry things like chips and dried fruit (unless soaked ). Fried food is not healthy for anyone. Soups would be especially good. TASTE STIMULATES WEAKENS sweet kapha vata and pitta sour kapha and pitta vata salt kapha and pitta vata pungent vata and pitta kapha bitter vata kapha and pitta acid vata kapha and pitta Guru Bandhu Singh > Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh, > > "When you have a few minutes, would you mind sharing any resources > that you have on vedic recipes, most especially those for a vata- pita > constitution?
