Guest guest
Pamho. AgtSP. As a part of our tradition, devotees after living their bodys have them burned and put the ashes in the Ganges. Is there any sastric evidence of the benefits this will give? I have heard many things already on this but did not see anything written in sastra. Srila Prabhupada too, seems no to much concerned about this, as he does not give any advice on that matter (even in SB where there would a place in the story about Ganges and king Sagara sons). So is it some kind of tradition which has developed lately, or has it some sound evidence? Does it realy matter if we put ashes in the Ganges or it can be any other river too? I would be grateful to get some light on that. Thank you very much. yhs Vipula das
