Guest guest
SrI: On the eve of my departure for the trip to Srirangam for attending Srimath Azhagiya Singar , it is delightful to know about the completion of the SriperumbhUthUr Kaimkaryam . Our sincere thanks to Sri Manoram das and his colleagues and yourself , The Thiruvenkadam group Members headed by Sri Sudarshanan for all of your most important contributions . I am grateful for the generous support of all the Raamaanuja Bhakthas who supported this project generously from all over the world . I will be away until Dec 3 . Thanks for sharing the god news. Dear SrivaishNava perunthagaiyeer, Thanks to sri Manoram chaitanyadas who took the very best initiatives, this job of construction of toilet facilities for pilgrims in the dhivya kshEthram of aachaarya raamaanuja is complete and was inaugurated today the 23 Nov 2006 for its intended use. As a civil engineer, I can very well say the work has come out technically sound and aesthetically appealing, with good tiled finish in the complete area. Finally now this facility consists of 1. for gents – 4 toilets – [3 indian type, 1 western type], 4 urinals, 1 bath room 2. for women – 4 toilets – 3 indian, 1 western – one row type squatting area for urination, 2 bath rooms 3. borewell, pumping arrangements, septic tank 4. overhead tank with cover 5. electrical arrangements for lighting so that the facility can be used throughout the day if required etc The location of the toilets and its surrounding area has also become a little more pleasing and attractive now because of the newly laid concrete road [where this toilet is located] adjacent to the sri manavala maamunigal sannidhi by the local authorities. Earlier when this project was started the whole area was stinking and dirty. perhaps sri sudharsan swamy can also vouch for it, since, when we visited the place along with sri sudarsan, it was so bad. Only thing is that the cost budget overran from its initial estimates by me. Again it is the best efforts of sri manoram that the project could be completed in spite of the cost overrun. May be the spiraling construction costs generally and the sudden rise of sand and cement costs, etc plus some unforeseen local factors contributed to this excess. The extended time factor leads to cost shoot up. As said by sri sudharsan swamy earlier, if I do not mention about sri theerthanga das swamin, [friend and co devotee of manoram], I am bound to be in narakam for committing such a big bhaaghavatha apachaaram, for he was the person who stayed at site through out and saw the project to its final fruition. Yesterday also he was there and his face beaming for having completed the great task. But his simplicity was so much that he stood as though his contribution was insignificant. Photos of the project were taken by another friend of manoram and soon manoram will be loading in the web site for all to see what the project is. My sincere thanks to all for all those who contributed monetarily and otherwise. Dhasan Vasudevan m.g. -- Vasudevan MG
