Guest guest Posted December 7, 2006 Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 ok a lot of my questions were not being answered on the astrology section but this question is quite related to spirituality instead. what is the significance of astrology to spirituality. is it ok to read your future, has krishna said anything about this? if its not good to know your past life(s) then why is it any better to know you future life? what is the difference between: a) indian sun astrology b) vedic astrology c) western astrology also if the famous astrologer on ganeshaspeaks.com uses indian/vedic astrology why does he use western horoscope calendars like aquarius, libra etc? how do the above 3 work? how important is astrology in Krishna conciousness? When you make a connection with Krishna, then all that astrology science has little meaning. Krishna doesn't abandon his devotee to the throws of planetary influences and astrological forces. I did a lot research and found that Indian astrology is somehow deviated and convinced of ayanamsa which originates from India's powerful astronomers. Astronomers and astrologers were always in argument but in India astronomy won. They convinced the astrologers to give up the fix zodiac and base the calculation on the realtime moving zodiac. But here comes the dilemma - the realtime zodiac says that we have to count back so that all people who presently believe they're Lion are according Indian astrologers Cancer. This is of course pretty weird. Or Aries, according Syamasundara dasa they are Fishes. Western astrologers who actually work with clients say that Indian astrology is pretty bogus. I made the same experience. Take professional singers, many have ascendant Lion. Now consider they have ascendent in Cancer according Jyotish. Just wrong!
