Guest guest
Dear Yaduraja Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! > You have now posed numerous challenges. I just reminded you to follow Srila Prabhupada's instruction (and your own words) and back up what you are saying. Why do I have to do that again and again? "The process of speaking in spiritual circles is to say something upheld by the scriptures. One should at once quote from scriptural authority to back up what he is saying." (Bg 17.15 purport) "Therefore you must confirm by quotes every statement that you make. Otherwise it is rascaldom." (Yaduraja, Oct 16, 2006) Thank you for the quotes (CC Mad 4.112 and Bg 4.34). In Bg. 4.34 Krishna says, "pariprasnena" (by submissive inquiries). How can I do that if the spiritual master is not physically present on this planet? When I asked you if there are other constituents of diksa besides transmission of knowledge, you answered, "destroying the disciple’s sinful reactions". So far you have not backed this up by a quote. And you did not answer following questions (besides other unanswered questions): Is this the only other constituent? If yes, please confirm this by a quote. Otherwise, if there are other constituents, do they require the physical presence of the guru or not? And can you please also answer following question which I am now asking the third time: Why do you conclude 'for the initiation (not the initiation ceremony) the physical presence of the diksa guru is not required' from 'the diksa guru does not have to be physically present at the initiation ceremony'? Of course you could also cut short this discussion by presenting a statement by Srila Prabhupada explicitly saying that for the initiation the physical presence of the diksa guru is not required. ys Ramakanta dasa
