Guest guest
Pamho, agtSP! If you postulate that thousands of years ago it was possible to remember everything you heard or read people generally think you're crazy, but there's actually empirical support for this. Some autistic savants can perform tasks that are described in the Vedic literature, for example recall huge amounts of information they assimilated many years ago. Take for example Kim Peek: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Peek "According to Peek's father, Fran, Peek was able to memorize things from the age of 16-20 months. He read books, memorized them, and then placed them upside down on the shelf to show that he had finished reading them, a practice he still maintains. He reads a page of text in about 10 seconds (about a book per hour) and, apparently, remembers everything he has read, memorizing vast amounts of information in subjects ranging from history and literature, geography, and numbers, to sports, music, and dates. He can recall some 12,000 books from memory. Peek can also do formidable calculations in his head, a skill that serves him well in his day job, where he prepares payroll worksheets." I saw a documentary called "The boy with the incredible Brain" which depicts an otherwise normal boy who can the most amasing mathematical calculations in his head. Actually he doesn't even calculate - the numbers just comes to him, sometimes in colors or wierd shapes. In the documentary this boy visist Kim Peek - and it's truly totally amasing what that man can can do. Try also to search google for "the boy with the incredible brain" at least some clip are available. Ys, AKD
